Woman Charged in Burglary

Incident No. 24-1371

On Thursday April 25th 2024, at approximately 6:55AM, Weatherly Police Officers were dispatched to a residence on Plane Street in the Borough for a 911 call with the property owner reporting at least 1 person broke into the residence sometime overnight but was unsure of the exact number of persons inside the residence. Weatherly Police Officers arrived on scene and located a female asleep in the house where she was woken up and placed in custody. The female was identified as Amber L. Sebia, 36.

Sebia is charged with one count of Burglary, Felony 1, and one count of Defiant Trespass, Misdemeanor 1. Magistrate Homanko arraigned Sebia on where bail was set at $5,000.00 straight, Sebia was unable to post bail and was lodged in the Carbon County Correctional Facility. Preliminary Hearing is set for Wednesday May 8th 2024 at Magistrate Homanko’s Office.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Any information received that was not released by the Weatherly Police Department is considered invalid and should not be deemed official.
