WANTED PERSONS APPREHENDED

On Thursday June 6th 2024, Weatherly Police received an anonymous tip on the whereabouts for a male that was wanted by WPD for a DUI/Narcotics possession case from December 2023. Officers followed up with this information and were able to successfully locate and apprehend Kristopher J. LINDEMUTH, 55, of Hazleton. LINDEMUTH was brought back to Carbon County to be arraigned on his charges of 3 counts driving under the influence of controlled substance, and 1 count of use/possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned by Magistrate Homanko and released on a $5,000.00 unsecured bond. LINDEMUTH was waiting for his fiancé, to arrive to provide a ride for him back to the location they were currently residing at. Jennifer L. KRATZ, 49, of Nanticoke arrived to pick him up and it was found that she had a full extradition flight risk warrant out of Luzerne County for unrelated narcotic and theft charges. She was taken into custody and Luzerne County was notified, where it was requested to lodge her into Carbon County Prison awaiting transport back to Luzerne County for her case.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Any information received that was not released by the Weatherly Police Department is considered invalid and should not be deemed official.
