Off-Road Vehicle Violations

In the afternoon hours of July 1, 2023 Weatherly Police Department observed a large group of offroad vehicles travelling northbound on property belonging to Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Officers attempted to stop these vehicles resulting in the offroad vehicles ramming police vehicles, causing damage and attempting to flee. In total seven vehicles were able to be stopped. The violations ranged from unregistered and untitled vehicles as well as safety concerns due to infants being on the vehicles without any sort of safety equipment. 

All the individuals stopped were from Long Island, New York. The blatant disregard for the safety and welfare of children will not be tolerated in Weatherly Borough and Weatherly Police Department will hold those accountable who violate these laws and endanger the public to the fullest extent of the law.
