Weatherly man has been charged with raping a minor in her residence late last year.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Officer Sofia Hantz of the Weatherly Police Department in the case against Adrian Sparacino:

On May 10, an individual came to the Weatherly Police Station to tell Hantz that Sparacino, who was then 18, had sexual intercourse with a girl, 14, in her residence sometime in December.

A forensic interview on May 23 at the Luzerne County Child Advocacy Center reported that the victim spoke about what transpired.

The victim said Sparacino forced the victim to have sex with him, even after telling him no and to stop numerous times. Sparacino became very touchy, even as the victim kept telling him to back up and to stop.

After the victim said no, Sparacino became touchier and she attempted to push him off her again, but he began forcing himself on top of her.

Sparacino faces charges of rape, indecent exposure, and indecent assault.

He is incarcerated in the Carbon County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 monetary bail, and scheduled to have a preliminary hearing on July 20 before District Judge Joseph D. Homanko Sr. of Weatherly.
