Roberto Torner appeared via Video from SCI Dallas and entered a guilty plea to 2 counts of Arson Endangering persons, just days before he was set to stand trial.
Friday August 1st 2025 9:00am registration and 10:00am shotgun start for the 3rd annual WPOA Golf Tournament at Mountain Valley!! As promised, all teams who participated in last years tournament have reserved their spot with payment received in full no later then June 1st 2025! If you have a team in mind but did not play in last years tournament, no worries, you can still sign up and we can put your team on the waiting list. We are going to be reaching out to all teams from last year or if you need a roster, feel free to contact our department at 570-427-4241. This year is again going to be the best tournament the area has that you don’t want to miss!
We will be hosting an after party bash in the Main Clubhouse following the tournament, where all participating golfers are invited to attend, AND you can bring a guest to attend the bash with the purchase of a guest ticket for $35 (includes dinner, limited open bar, music, raffles.) Guest ticket deadline is July 4th 2025!

The Weatherly police are investigating a series of possible thefts of metal and household appliances from properties within the borough.
On November 16th Weatherly Police along with Weatherly Fire Department were dispatched to the address of 789 East Main Street for a reported unattended fire.
female victim/resident of a Rehabilitation/Nursing Facility who wanted to come forward with a report involving a resident and employee Edward J. ROCHE, 59 of Weatherly.
Weatherly Police were dispatched to Woods Ice Cream for a male that appeared intoxicated
Police were dispatched by Carbon County Communications Center to the area of Spring and East Main Streets for 2 males physically fighting outside.
Female victim who was visibly upset about an incident that took place shortly beforehand at her place of employment within in the Borough.
On August 30th 2024 Officer Kubert observed a vehicle stopped along Evergreen Ave across from the Elementary School in the Borough which appeared to be disabled.
