ANIMAL BITE

On Wednesday March 26th 2025 Weatherly Police to an apartment building on 2nd Street where the caller had locked herself in the bathroom after she was viciously attacked by her Pitbull. Shortly after 3:00pm the caller stated she got up and started to walk across the room and the dog went after her, grabbing her hand, then after a struggle the dog went after her again and grabbed her by the forearm causing deep lacerations and tears to the area. Responding Officers were able to enter the apartment and make sure that the dog was secured inside a crate without causing any injury to the animal, and Officers. Officers started to render first aid to the caller until EMS arrived. It was learned that this dog was already on a 10-day quarantine for another attack less then a week earlier. This is an ongoing investigation and we would like to thank Tom Connors and the Carbon County K-9 unit for its quick response and help during this incident.

Any information received that was not released by the Weatherly Police Department is considered invalid and should not be deemed official. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
